NeReDi (NeuroRehab Dialogic) is an AI system built to support clinical reasoning during neurorehabilitation — but unlike a typical chatbot, its job isn't to hand over an answer. Today's clinical AI tends to confirm a clinician's first hypothesis rather than challenge it, which can reinforce reasoning errors in complex cases. NeReDi pairs a language model with a knowledge base of guidelines and clinical evidence, then engages the clinician by coaching their reasoning, asking Socratic questions, or offering alternative interpretations grounded in the literature — a cognitive partner, not a shortcut to a diagnosis.
